Private Training
Ready to get started? Here’s a quick guide to how our private training services work.
Private training is suitable for all cases. These are the main sessions that we offer after your onboarding process. These sessions are designed for 1-on-1 training time with your family and one of our Trainers. We’ll work on 2–3 protocols/exercises from your custom plan developed after your Consultation session(s).
Best for:
Building your training skills
Strengthening communication with your dog
Continued progress after your onboarding consultation
Private sessions are held in our Animal Behavior Center unless virtual or in-home accommodations are needed.
For Private Sessions, Clients must be present for the sessions.
Sessions are not locked in as one "type" or another, as the needs of the dog and owners may change as training progresses on the case.
All of the following services also include taxes and fees, travel time up to 15 minutes to and from the session location, limited email support, and access to our online community in initial cost.

Onboarding Checklist
Before booking private sessions, please ensure you have completed:
Discovery Screening and/or Mini Meeting
Completed an Initial Consultation and Assessment (2 hours) / Extended Consultation (3 hours) or Completed Modified Consultation (90 minutes)
Received Consultation Notes

Scheduling Sessions
Once Private Sessions are purchased, our team will reach out to you to schedule 1–2 of those sessions at a time. We know that life happens, so we try to stay flexible with our scheduling to help accommodate.
We’ll send over a calendar link for you to choose your first session based on our availability.
Once you have selected a time, we’ll review and send out a confirmation via email.
If your session is planned to be held at your home location and is over a 15-minute drive, a travel fee will be sent out with the confirmation email. The session isn’t fully confirmed until the Travel Fee is paid.
Sessions are valid for 6 months from when purchased. After 6 months, your sessions are no longer valid.
Sessions are not reschedulable. (See Rescheduling Policy)
We do accommodate emergency/unexpected situations and will offer accommodations on a case-by-case basis.
Accommodations may include a $60 rescheduling fee.
Day Training Servives
Day Training is an intensive support service designed to get a trainer working with you and your dog up to 4 times a week.
This is a great service for complex cases or where scheduling needs would benefit from frequent visits, in person or virtually.
Best for:
Reactive or high-energy dogs
Families with limited time
Accelerating training goals with professional support
Standard Day Training
A Trainer will work with you 4 days a week for 4 weeks.
The trainer will work with your dog in your home 1-on-1 (3 days a week) and 1 session with you and your dog to transition the skills worked on within the week.
This service is great for cases such as:
Barking, lunging, or displaying leash reactivity
Dogs with stranger danger
Obedience type cases
Variety of other cases!
Before You Start Day Training
Completed a Consultation Session (Standard, Extended, or Modified)
Received Consultation Notes with recommendation for this service
Virtual Day Training
Similar to the In-Person Day Training Services, our Virtual variation is great for cases that need intensive support and/or a jumpstart towards their goals.
You and the Trainer will meet 4 times a week (3×30 min and 1×1 hr) to onboard new skills.
Ideal for:
Separation Anxiety
Cooperative Care
Owner-Directed Conflict
Out-of-area clients
Dogs with issues with strangers
Cases that benefit from working in a more natural life setting
Client must be available for each session.
Mini Day Training
A budget-friendly option for clients who want the benefits and structure of Day Training but may not be able to commit 4 days a week.
A trainer will be over 2 days a week to work with you and your pets.
Perfect for clients transitioning away from more intense support.
Can be In-Person, Virtual, or Hybrid.
Client must be available for each session.

- Fill out Day Training Questionnaire.
- Confirm Scheduling of the 4 weeks and your Estimated Weekly Training Outline.
- Confirm the logistics of how the Trainer will enter your home.
- Start Training! A dog trainer will come to your home or start working with you virtually. We encourage clients to attend any and all sessions in the Standard plan, even the ones designated as a Trainer working with dog session, if available.
- Virtual and Mini Day Training the clients must participate for all sessions.
- Once a week we work with your family and the dog(s) to transition over what was taught that week.
- Weekly notes outlining what was taught will be sent to you after the transition session.
- Gain access to select webinars determined by your trainer to support your training plan throughout.
