Where to Find Daack Pack This May: Our Spring 2026 Event Lineup

Spring is one of our favorite times of year. The weather warms up, dogs spend more time outside, and we get to step out from behind the training-room doors and into the community.

Event season has officially begun, and we're already off to a great start.

A Quick Look Back

Over the past few weeks, we've had the chance to be part of some really special events. We joined the Doggie Easter Egg Hunt hosted by the June Bug Foundation, set up at Healthy Kids Day with the Sacramento YMCA, and spent the day at Sacramento Earth Day chatting with families about behavior, training, and the dogs in their lives.

Each of these brought together pet owners, kids, and community members who were curious, kind, and eager to learn. Thank you to everyone who stopped by our booth, asked questions, and shared a story about your dog. These conversations are part of why we do what we do.

What's Coming Up in May

We have an event almost every weekend this month. Here's the full lineup.

Snake Fest — May 2

Save the Snakes · Hagan Community Park · 10am–4pm

We're partnering with Save the Snakes for a family-friendly day focused on snake awareness and education. Stop by our booth for our snake body language flyer (yes, snakes have body language too) and snake coloring sheets — a kid favorite at past events. Understanding the wildlife around us is one of the best ways to keep dogs and people safer outdoors, especially as we move into warmer months.

1-on-1 Canine Massage with Laura — May 15

Daack Pack · 10am–7pm

Laura is taking over a training room for a full day of one-on-one canine massage sessions. Massage can support recovery, mobility, relaxation, and stress reduction — especially helpful for senior dogs, canine athletes, and pups who carry physical or emotional tension. A booking link will be live on our calendar soon. Limited spots available.

Animal Care Faire — May 16

Bradshaw Shelter · 11am–3pm

Bradshaw Shelter brings local animal welfare organizations together under one roof for a community-wide care faire. If you've been thinking about training, adoption, or simply learning more about how to support animals in the Sacramento area, this is a great place to start. Many of our partner organizations will be there too.

Placer SPCA · Vernon Square · 6:30pm–8:30pm

Sniffing Through Spring — May 30

Daack Pack · 12pm–3pm

This is our biggest in-house event of the season — and it's a fundraiser for NorCal Resist. We've planned a full afternoon of activities for dogs and their people:

  • Rattlesnake Safety Workshop — practical, season-appropriate education that every Sacramento-area dog owner should know

  • Scent Work Activity — try one of the most enriching activities you can do with your dog

  • BYO Enrichment Station — bring your dog and explore at your own pace

  • Local Vendors and Educational Booths — community partners doing great work

Detailed information will go out in a separate email closer to the date, so make sure you're on our list. Save the date now.

Why We Show Up

It would be easier to keep training inside the training room. But behavior work doesn't happen in a vacuum — dogs live in the real world, with real noise, real distractions, and real other dogs.

Community events let us meet our clients (and future clients) where they actually are: at parks, at festivals, at fundraisers, in everyday life. They give us the chance to answer the questions people don't always think to ask in a consultation. And they let us support the organizations that make our community better — shelters, rescues, advocacy groups, and the people behind them.

If you'd like to come find us at one of these events, we'd love to meet you. And if there's a community event you think we should be part of next, we want to hear about it.
